INSIDE MOUNT Min depth for shade without valance is 2", for shade width valance is 4". Shade width is 0.25" shorter than widnow opening width, shade height is same as window height. For inside mount, there is tiny gap on each side, light will get in through.

OUTSIDE MOUNT Shade width need to be 3-6" wider than window width, shade height need to be 8-10" longer than window height for better coverage.
